Exam Results

Thinking of all of you who are getting AS, A-level, GCSE, or other results over the summer.

Remember- you are loved and able to love others.

You are not defined by your grades and are worth infinitely more than what is written on that piece of paper. Hold your head high knowing these results are just a part of your story.

Celebrate with those who celebrate, stand with those who are struggling. Your character is so much more important that your results (& re-sits are always there if needed!)

Different Views

How do you react when someone has a different view?

Conflict is defined as 'a difference in ideas or views', but this difference in views does not necessarily mean that there needs to be a heated exchange.

It is easy to become defensive and act like a child, declaring their rejection of the one who has said no to them or disagreed with their view.

Mature adults are able to stay connected with people who have disagreed or not cooperated with them. Rather than shut off, retaliate or distance yourself from those who have upset you, stay in communication with the other person. This can bring creative solutions to the discussion, an easier work environments and an even better long term relationships.

Quality Assurance

I have recently passed an accredited Quality Assurance (QA) and Internal Monitoring course with TTC.

QA is essential, as it ensures that all customers/clients receive the same high quality that the company desires, no matter what day or time they seek the service, who is providing it and where they are accessing the service from.

It is so important to ensure monitoring is consistent (across all monitors), reliable (using evidence of practice and referring back to the policies) and valid (based on recent, observed behaviour, training or products).

Helping Teams Thrive

Helping teams thrive and work well together using their strengths is really important for any business.

One of the tools we use is the CliftonStrengths assessment to help individuals in the team recognise their natural patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.

Recently I worked with the leadership team of a company to identify their Strengths, help them understand how they can develop them, and apply them to their work life.

Each person was asked to select a photo to represent what they bring to the team.

From here, we looked at how each person can use their strengths to achieve goals and work more effectively together.
